Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh): CPI-led Chalo Polavaram yatra has caused tension with leaders across the state. CPI state secretary Ram Krishna was arrested. CPI (M) national secretary in Tirupati demanded immediate release of CPI leaders who were illegally detained. The CPI leaders who had staged street protests in front of the RTC bus stand expressed concern over the police custody. Polavaram is a national project, anyone has the right to see. He expressed regret that the government was making illegal arrests at midnight. Meanwhile, the police diverted traffic to Tirupati due to CPI concerns.
