Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh): Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said classes for 8th grade students will start on Monday following the Covid-19 protocol. For students of classes 8 and 9, classes are held every day in March, currently classes are held on alternate days and for students of class 10, from Monday 9:30 am to 1.30 pm every day. He said that steps were being taken to conduct classes for students of classes 6 and 7 from December 14.

Suresh said that based on the conditions on December 14, sankranthi will be decided to restart classes for students of classes 1 to 5. The authorities were advised to conduct classes from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm with temperatures gradually falling in winter. However, schools run according to corona rules. Students are advised to wear masks and follow physical distancestrictly.

The Education Minister said that parents are expressing their desire to send their children to school. Keeping this in mind, the Government decided to restart classes for the eighth class students.

Meanwhile, the Covid-19 positivity rate among schools and college students and teachers in the state is low.
