Srinagar: India currently fighting coronavirus epidemic and in lockdown, but Jammu and Kashmir, about 829 km from Delhi, has been in headlines for the past few days. The latest example of the stir is the Google Map showing Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in India. Not only this, Line of Control (LoC) and Line of Actual Control (LaC) are also missing from the map. Let us know that the news bulletin on Doordarshan will now also provide information about the weather of PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan. Photos of Google Map of India are becoming increasingly viral on social media. So far, neither has any statement from Google, nor the Government of India made any statement on this. Pictures of the new map are being shared on social media, in which all those parts under Kashmir have been shown in the Indian border on which Pakistan has taken possession. It includes the northern areas including PoK which Pakistan has named as Gilgit-Baltistan. Not only the border with Pakistan but also LAC from China which covers Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh, they are also seen as part of India in the new pictures. However, the truth of it is that PoK's border is not visible by searching Google while staying in India, but this limit is clearly visible from other countries. NewsTrack asked for a screenshot of the map from Dubai, in which this border is clearly visible.
