Agricultural law reverted, demand to remove Sec-370 aroused, Agitation again?

Srinagar: When PM Narendra Modi announced the withdrawal of all the three agricultural laws, now there was a demand to restore Section 370 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as well. National Conference National President and former CM Farooq Abdullah has raised the demand for restoration of Section 370 and withdrawal of full statehood in the state.

Talking to the media, Farooq Abdullah said that just as agricultural laws have been repealed, the government should also restore Section 370, which will bring peace to the Valley. Abdullah said the government repealed the laws because of the elections, but I welcome the decision. He also said that farmers should not leave the venue of agitation till agriculture laws are repealed from Parliament. On the decision to withdraw the agricultural law, Abdullah said, 'It is too late.' He said the government and the opposition should now allow the winter session of Parliament to run smoothly.

State that the Modi government at the Centre had on August 5, 2019, struck down Section 370 of the Constitution giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, the state was divided into two Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. However, the government had made Jammu and Kashmir an assembly union territory, while Ladakh does not have an assembly.
