Uttarakhand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, May 25, virtually flagged off Uttarakhand's first semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express train connecting Dehradun with New Delhi. This will be the 6th Vande Bharat express connecting Delhi from different verticals. Till now, New Delhi is connected with Ajmer, Varanasi, Katra, Bhopal, and Amb Andaura. First Uttarakhand Vande Bharat: The Vande Bharat semi-high-speed train, the 18th in India and the first in Uttarakhand, will make its first voyage from Dehradun to the Anand Vihar terminal in Delhi. According to an official statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the train is fitted with top-notch amenities that will usher in a new era of comfortable travel, particularly for visitors to the state. The train was made in-country and is fitted with cutting-edge safety features, including the Kavach technology. On May 29, the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express will begin operating regularly. The train will cover a distance of 302 kilometres in 4 hours and 45 minutes. Other than Wednesdays, the train will run every day of the week. Departure and arrival times for the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express: At 17:50 or 5:50 p.m., the train carrying the number 22457 is expected to leave Anand Vihar and reach Dehradun at 22:35 or 10:35 p.m. Odisha received its first Vande Bharat last week. It travels between Howrah and Puri. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express on May 18 via the virtual mode from Puri, and it began offering regular services on May 20.
