Muzaffarnagar: An FIR has been registered in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and two other members of the party for allegedly increasing enmity between different sections. Social worker Gaurav Aggarwal had complained to the police in this regard. Police have said, "The complaint states that the AAP leader had given controversial statements during a press conference held in Delhi recently, where he accused Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath of being biased towards various castes". SHO Anil Kaparwan said that, based on Agarwal's complaint, an FIR has been registered against AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, party members Sabhajit Singh and Brij Kumari at the Kotwali police station. He said that investigation of the case is going on. Gaurav Aggarwal said that AAP leader Sanjay Singh addressed a press conference in Delhi on August 12. In this conference, Sanjay Singh said that Dalits and backwards are being neglected in the state. He also said that BJP's ideology is anti-Dalit. Sanjay Singh had said that people are being selectively targeted in the state. People of Brahmin community are being oppressed.
