FIR filed against rapper in Mumbai for 'anti-government' song

Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against rapper Umesh Khade. It is alleged that Umesh has sung a song that is allegedly against the government and the administration. In the last week in Maharashtra, a case has been registered against another rapper for allegedly singing a song against the government. In the latest case, the complaint was also given by the officer of the Crime Intelligence Unit of the Mumbai Police, after which the police registered the case. The news says that on the basis of the complaint, an FIR was lodged against rapper Umesh Khade on April 7. Umesh lives in the Wadala area. A case has been registered against the rapper for the song 'Bhongali Ke Janta' (a song made on the struggle of people).

Cases registered under these sections include: According to the police, Umesh has also uploaded the song on his social media account, Shambho, which has gone viral. Umesh has been booked by the police under IPC sections 505(2) (words intended to promote enmity between two classes), 504 (attempt to provoke a breach of the peace), and Section 67 of the IT Act.

Reports say that the police called Umesh for questioning on April 6. However, he was later released. After registering the case, notice has been given to the rapper, and he has been asked to cooperate in the inquiry if needed.
