New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly stabbing a married woman to death. Police said that the accused and the woman had an incestuous relationship. The young man had killed the woman because now she was ignoring him. Both the accused and the deceased were married. Police officials have informed on Sunday that the accused has been identified as Bharat, a resident of Sagarpur. He is a driver by profession and has two children. Police said they had received information about the incident that took place in south-west Delhi's Sagarpur on April 22. A senior police officer has said that the deceased was identified as Aarti Devi (28), a woman resident of Sagarpur. According to the police, he was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in injured condition, where doctors declared him brought dead. South-West Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Manoj C said that on the basis of the statement of the woman's husband, a case of murder under section 302 of IPC has been registered at Sagarpur police station. According to the officer, the complainant had alleged that a man named Bharat stabbed his wife, whom he knew. The DCP said that with the help of technical surveillance, coordinated efforts of local informers and our teams, Bharat was arrested and a knife used in the crime has also been recovered.
