Fodder scam: Lalu Yadav to appear before CBI court in the case of illegal withdrawal of 139 crores

Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad's troubles over the fodder scam case seem to be mounting once again. On November 23, a special court in CBI issued an order to Lalu Prasad to appear before him in a fodder scam case and Lalu prasad is scheduled to visit Patna once again today.

The fodder scam case in which Lalu Yadav is to appear relates to illegal withdrawal of Rs 46 lakh from Bhagalpur and Banka treasury. Tell me, Lalu Prasad came to Patna after nearly 3 years on October 24 before the Bihar bypoll. He had returned to Delhi with his entire family the very next day after the RJD suffered a setback in the Bye-election on November 2. CBI Special Court Judge Prajesh Kumar has ordered 28 other accused in connection with the case, including Lalu, to appear before the court on November 23.

A total of 6 fodder scam cases are going on against Lalu, out of which five are in Ranchi special CBI court in Jharkhand and one case is going on in Patna CBI court. Lalu has been convicted in 4 cases in Ranchi special CBI court and has also served a few years in jail. The case of illegal withdrawal of Rs 139 crore from Doranda Treasury is currently under consideration and the matter is scheduled for debate on November 29.
