USA: US-based automaker, Ford has unveiled the Edge L for the international markets in 2024. The full-size SUV, which features a 2+2+3 seating configuration, is essentially a replacement for the Edge Plus model. The updated vehicle features a full-width LED DRL to generate the unibrow effect and looks quite different from the current model. There is a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine. The Edge, a crossover SUV that was introduced in 2006, sits in Ford's global lineup between the Escape and Explorer models. For its comprehensive safety kit, it received the coveted "Top Safety Pick" designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in 2007. The all-new Ford Edge L features a long, sculpted hood, vertically stacked LED headlights with full-width DRLs that look like unibrows, a large grille with a blue oval badge in the middle, and a wide air dam. ORVMs, flush-fitted door handles and 21-inch designer wheels round out the SUV. Connected LED taillights are available for the back. Both the systems are mated to automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. A multi-zone climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, powered ottoman seats for the middle row, and a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel all feature on the spacious seven-seater 2024 Ford Edge L interior. It gets a 27-inch 4K touchscreen infotainment system, Bang & Olufsen sound system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Multiple airbags and ADAS features keep the passengers safe. For comparison, the full-size SUV has a starting price of $37,945 (roughly Rs. 31.46 lakhs) in the US market for the 2023 model.
