Former Air Force Chief BS Dhanova drew attention to the biggest concern, says 'Abhinandan would have been flying Rafael instead of MiG-21'

The Government of India is constantly trying to make the army strong with its efforts, which is getting wide impact. The army chief is angry about the plane deals, in his recent statement former Air Force chief BS Dhanova has objected to the controversy over the Rafale aircraft deal. He said that such disputes slow down defense deals. This affects the capabilities of the military forces.

Apart from this, the former Air Chief Marshal said that after the Balakot airstrike, if the Wing Commander Abhinandan was flying Rafale instead of MiG-21, the result would have been different. In an event organized at IIT Bombay, he said that the Supreme Court gave a good decision on this issue. In this case, the Supreme Court gave a clean chit to the Modi government.

Regarding this concerned matter, the former Air Force chief further said that when issues like Rafael will be hoisted. If the defense procurement system is given political color then the whole process will be left behind. The former Air Force chief mentioned that the Bofors deal was also in dispute, while the Bofors guns have been good. He said that there are many agencies in the country that investigate deals on receiving complaints.
