Hakim had become ill since his visit to Gulbarga in Karnataka. This time he said, 'I went to Gulbarga, after which I got a fever and I was taking fever medicine. Later an X-ray of my chest was done and I was told that I had pneumonia.' He further said, 'Later, I was advised to undergo corona test. Its result turned out to be positive. All this has happened six days ago. ' The footballer Hakim was awarded the Dhyanchand Award for 'Life Time Achievement' in the year 2017.
