For the past several days, due to COVID-19, sports matches were stalled. The camp of the Indian boxing team in the National Sports Institute of Patiala was filled with controversies. Some boxers present in the first camp were accused of violating the necessary quarantine rules, now it has been reported that one of the boxers in that team had taken his licensed pistol to the NIS campus. The investigation of this matter is going on.

According to information received, another boxer had gone to train an elite boxer under the Target Olympic Scheme (TOPS) of the Indian Sports Ministry. After receiving information about the licensed pistol he had, Sports Authority of India (Sai) officials were shocked. No one is allowed to carry weapons in the premises.

Jai Kavali, secretary of the Indian Boxing Association, said in his statement that SAI has set up this camp. After the order of Delhi High Court, our Union is not recognized at present. We have no information of any kind about the pistol, but if it has happened then it is wrong. The boxer preparing for the Tokyo Olympics admitted that the colleague he had taken to train him had a pistol.
