New Delhi: Two people were burnt to death in fire in a furniture shop in Kirti Nagar, Delhi on Thursday late night. The police has started investigating the incident by sending both the corpses for postmortem. According to information, a catastrophic fire erupted in the furniture shop of Kirti Nagar on Friday morning. After receiving information about the fire, the fire brigade personnel evacuated two youths trapped in the fire and transported them to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead. The fire brigade personnel have been able to control the blaze. At present Kirti Nagar Police station is investigating the cause of the fire. The police have shifted both the bodies to the hospital for postmortem. Both the deceased are reported to be 23 and 18 years old. The initial investigation into the incident is showing a short circuit fire. The fire erupted due to short circuit in the shop located in the furniture shop and gradually spread to the entire shop. There was a lot of scrap in the shop, which aggravated the fire. Two persons were also reeling under the fury of the fire and died.
