G20 Two-day-Flower Festival begins in Delhi's Connaught Place

NEW DELHI: A two-day G20 Flower Festival is being taken place at Delhi’s Connaught from today, March 11. The flower festival is aimed at highlighting the vibrancy of G20 members and guest countries.

Several G20 countries will participate in the flower festival, which was launched by Union Minister of Labor and Employment Bhupender Yadav. China, Japan, Singapore, and the Netherlands are the four G20 nations that will attend the festival.

For the general public, the festival will remain open from 10 am to 7 pm and there will be no entry fee, the statement by the NDMC read.

The environment minister tweeted "Inaugurated the G20 Flower Festival at New Delhi's Central Park" upon the opening. It's breathtaking to see. Visit the Festival and take in its vibrant colours and positive vibes.

As per the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) release, the objective of the festival is to showcase the vibrancy and colourful display of G20 members and guest countries.   It said that flower plants of various colours and types were on display in various forms. The Indian Subcontinent's diversity was on exhibit at the NDMC through a variety of flowering plants. According to the statement, the firm has given all of the participating G20 members and invited nations the necessary space for the celebration.

The festival also showcases paintings or photographs of flowers such as national flowers or major flower gardens of G20 members and guest countries, the statement read.
