A big statement has come from Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and Congress general secretary in charge of the state, Avinash Pandey. Apart from Sachin Pilot, he has started taking feedback from local leaders regarding the by-elections in 19 rebel MLA constituencies. The Gehlot and Pandey duo have submitted a petition before the Legislative Assembly Chief Dr. Mahesh Joshi, to the government MLA Mahesh Joshi, to end the membership of the assembly of 19 MLAs including Pilot. Joshi too, showing readiness, opened the assembly at night, and issued a summons. MLAs whose relatives did not take summons were pasted outside their residence. The reply from the MLA has been called till 1 July 17 but reliable sources of Congress believe that Gehlot, Pandey, and Joshi have already prepared future plans. Gehlot supporters are sure that Joshi will end his membership of the rebel MLA after getting the summons. It has been argued that the MLA other than Pilot did not accept the whip issued for attending the meeting of the legislature party. But the experts of the constitution believe that the whip is applied outside the assembly and not outside, so if the rebel MLA membership on this basis is over, they can go to the High Court. In view of the Joshi's decision, the pilot faction has started to consult senior lawyers of the High Court. Gehlot and Pandey also started the search for suitable candidates in the constituencies of the rebel MLA.
