Gehlot approves Rs71,486.4 cr investments to create 26000 jobs in Rajasthan

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved investment proposals worth Rs 71,486 crore, with over 26,000 jobs expected to be created.

Gehlot said many significant industrial players are now drawn to the state because of its favourable industrial policies while chairing the second meeting of the Board of Investment (BOI) at his official house. This will help the state's industrial development even more. He also provided instructions on how to prepare for the Invest Rajasthan Summit.

Gehlot also ordered officials to create a feasibility assessment on establishing a ceramic centre in Bikaner division, citing the abundance of raw materials for the industry, as well as investigate the possibilities of establishing a gas infrastructure in the area.

Automotive, agro-processing, textile, pharma, energy, glass & ceramics, engineering, and cement are among the areas where investments were approved during the meeting. Corporate giants including Hero Electric Vehicles, Honda Cars, Saint Gobain, Borosil, Okaya, Krish Pharma, Lenskart, Renew, HPCL Mittal, Ceramax Granito, and others invested in the projects that were approved. Nearly 26,004 new employment will be created in the state as a result of these investments.

Industrialists and entrepreneurs have responded positively to roadshows for the Invest Rajasthan Summit held around the country, according to Industries Minister Shakuntla Rawat. Bhanwar Singh Bhati, the state's power minister, also expressed his thoughts on the establishment of industrial units in the state.

The meeting was attended by Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat, Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary for Industries Veenu Gupta, Principal Secretary for Finance Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary Bhaskar Sawant, Commissioner for BIP Inderjeet Singh, and other high officials.
