Ghazipur Boat Tragedy: Body of 4 out of 5 children drowned in Ganga recovered

LUCKNOW: The bodies of four of the five children who drowned after their boat capsized in flood waters have been recovered in Aththa village under Revati in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Two people lost their lives, while five children went missing in the incident that took place on Wednesday afternoon. With the discovery of the body, the death toll has risen to six. One child is still missing.

Let us inform you that a boat full of 25 people overturned in the flood of river Ganga in Athhwa of Revatipur police station area on Wednesday afternoon. After the accident, many people swam to save their lives, while some people were pulled out of the river by nearby boatmen and seafarers. Four of them were taken to the hospital in serious condition. Where two people died. At the same time, 5 children went missing in the accident. The search for the drowned children started on Thursday morning with the help of 34th Corps PAC and local villagers. The bodies of four have been found in it. 

The children whose bodies have been found include Satyam (14) son of Shiv Shankar Gaur, Sandhya Paswan (8) daughter of Anil Paswan, Amit Paswan (14) son of Vijay Shankar Paswan, Khushi Yadav (13) daughter of Dayashankar.
