Gold price continues to fall, sluggishness seen in global market as well

On Friday, the domestic futures market saw a drop in gold prices. On the MCX exchange, the gold futures of August 5, 2020 was down by Rs 75 at 9.32 am on Friday and trending at Rs 47,866 per 10 grams. Apart from this, the gold futures on October 5, 2020 was trading at Rs 48,049 per 10 grams on MCX on Friday morning, falling by 0.12 per cent or Rs 57. Globally, both the spot and futures prices have fallen on Friday morning.

Along with gold, the domestic futures price of silver has also been seen falling on Friday morning. On July 3, the futures price of silver on MCX was declining by 0.04 per cent, or Rs 21, on Friday morning at Rs 48,095 per kg. At the same time, the futures price of silver on September 4, 2020 was trending at Rs 48,942 per kg, falling by Rs 145.

For your information, let us tell you that the global futures price of gold on Comex was down by 0.02 per cent, or $ 0.40, at $ 1,770.20 an ounce. At the same time, the global spot price of gold was trending at $ 1,760.89 an ounce, down 0.16 percent or $ 2.90. Similarly, on the global price of silver, according to Bloomberg, on Friday morning, the global futures price of silver was down by 0.01 per cent at $ 18.05 an ounce on Comex. Apart from this, the global spot price of silver was down by 0.33 percent or $ 0.06 at this time to trade at $ 17.74 an ounce.
