Govee releases a gaming-specific smart lighting kit powered by AI

USA: At CES 2023, Govi unveiled AI-powered lighting, a first for the video game industry. Govee AI Gaming Sync Box Kit is the name of the item.

The kit uses the company's in-house technology to analyze key moments from your on-screen gaming content and uses smart lighting to bring them to life. The device will be released sometime in 2023, but the cost has not been made public.

The lighting kits that are currently on the market have poor color capture accuracy and slow performance. These issues have been rectified by the new AI-backed kit from Govi.

It can create an immersive environment and is unaffected by external light, which is essential for gamers. No compromise is made with the performance. Once it goes on sale, it should generate respectable sales.

With a delay of less than 16 milliseconds, the Govee AI Gaming Sync Box Kit can sync content in real time. It features a Cognition algorithm and may support different refresh rates and resolutions, including 1K at 240Hz, 2K at 144Hz, and 4K at 60Hz. The kit includes three HDMI inputs and one HDMI output for connecting multiple devices and switching between them easily.

The AI of the Govee AI Gaming Sync Box Kit can differentiate between different music genres, such as jazz, hip-hop and rock, and display lighting effects to match the beat.

Depending on the game being played, the kit can generate up to 30 unique lighting effects. Additionally supported are technologies such as HDR, Dolby Vision and Consumer Electronics Control (a feature for managing devices connected to HDMI).
