The Government of India has prepared a new draft for the accident victims. Under which cashless treatment is to be provided to the injured person in a motor vehicle accident. Details of this new rule are provided in the Motor Vehicles Act 2019. It has already been mentioned in this act and also which includes treatment during the golden time. This is a proposal that will save thousands of lives. In the case of road accidents, about 1.5 lakh people lost their lives in road accidents in India in 2018. The Ministry has written a letter to all the states and union territories to present their views on providing cashless treatment to all the victims of road accidents. A proposal has also been proposed to create an accident fund for the treatment of road accident victims and to give compensation to the injured or for the family of the person who lost his life in a hit and runs cases. According to the government, the proposed modalities of the scheme are designed in such a way that they allow access to quality care at the right time for all individuals, irrespective of their ability to pay. Many people have benefited in the Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Central Government. National Health Authority, the nodal agency, has been tasked to implement this scheme. The authority has tied up with more than 21,000 hospitals across the country. The final decision on this subject will be taken after 10 July 2020 as all the states and union territories will have to reply with their suggestions.
