Bhopal: Workers engaged in construction works on outlets like buildings, roads, bridges, ponds in MP are going to get the facility of cashless treatment from April 1. These days, work on connecting 12 lakh 50 thousand construction workers with Ayushman Yojana is going on in the State Building and Construction Workers' Board. The labour families will also get a free treatment facility of up to Rs 5 lakh each year.
In this regard, the Karmakar Mandal has tied up with the Ayushman Bharat Niramyam Society, under which the worker families registered in the Workers' Board will be given the facility of free treatment by making cards. At present, the data of the construction workers of the state, whose data is registered in the Workers' Board, is being linked to the website of the Ayushman Yojana. The data of about 7.50 lakh workers are almost ready. To whom the cards will be provided soon.
Anurag Chaudhary, CEO of the same Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Society, said that the cards will be made and given to the workers of the unorganised sector, including those registered in the Workers' Board. For this, camps will be set up at construction sites. At the same time, the cardholder workers of the Workers' Board can also make a card from the kiosk centre through Shramik Card, Aadhaar Card and Samagra ID. 90 per cent of the unorganised sector workers in the state are there. These labourers will be able to get free treatment from the Ayushman scheme. The workers are often injured in accidents due to construction work and are not able to get treatment on time due to financial constraints, but they will be able to get free treatment from the Ayushman scheme.
