Ahemdabad: Couple complaint of changing infant in civil hospital

Ahmedabad: There was a ruckus in a hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat when a couple was given a daughter in place of a son. The couple has alleged that the nurse at Sola Civil Hospital had earlier said that they had been born a son, but later they were given a daughter. Even after this, when the hospital administration did not listen to them, the couple filed a case of negligence against the hospital and demanded a DNA test.

The couple said that to test the negligence of the hospital, it is extremely important to get a newborn's DNA test done. Sola police station in-charge JV Rathod said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the couple. It is being told that the woman's delivery was done through a cesarean operation on Thursday. The couple suspects that their child has been replaced. The couple said that after delivery, the nurse told them that they had a son, but later they were given a daughter.

After this entire matter came to light, on behalf of the hospital, clarifying that the woman was kept in the Covid isolation ward and no other child was born there. There is no question of changing the child. A hospital official has said that this nurse has made a human error. The nurse has made a mistake and may have called the son in a hurry. We will cooperate fully in whatever investigation will be done in this matter. However, we are still saying that there has been no such incident in the hospital.
