Hyderabad: A video of controversial statements being made against Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, who made a significant contribution to the making of the Constitution from Telangana, is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the viral video, a man is saying 'if Ambedkar was alive today, I would have shot him.' The man in the video is said to be of Hamara Prasad, the founder of a group called Rashtriya Dalit Sena. Our Prasad has described Baba Saheb Ambedkar as anti-Hindu. However, shortly after the video went viral, the police arrested Hamara Prasad. The video was posted by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader RS Praveen Kumar on his Twitter handle on Thursday (February 9). In this video, a picture of Bhimrao Ambedkar is seen in the hands of Dalit leader Hamara Prasad. In the video, Hamara Prasad expressed his displeasure towards Ambedkar and said that 'if Ambedkar was alive today, I would have shot him like Nathuram Godse shot Mahatma Gandhi.' According to the Dalit leader, Ambedkar despised Hindu sentiments in his book 'Reads in Hinduism'. The book he has written is wrong. Demanding action on the video, BSP leader Praveen Kumar also took a dig at Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). He wrote in his tweet that KCR chants Ambedkar's name only to get votes. According to media reports, Hamara Prasad, who released the video, has been arrested. He has been booked under sections 153-A and 505(2) of the IPC.
