Head constable dies in Delhi violence, children asks, 'what is the fault of father?'

New Delhi: Havildar Ratan Lal Bey was killed in violence in north-east Delhi on Monday. Wife Poonam fainted as soon as she heard the news of her husband's martyrdom in the violence, while Siddhi (13), Kanak (10) and Ram (8) were silently staring at the crowd outside the house after hearing the news. The question was, "What was our father's fault?"

Ratan Lal was the same ill-fated havildar of the Delhi Police, who never had a fight.  Even after this, a mob of miscreants surrounded and killed him in Dayalpur police station area of North East Delhi on Monday. Ratan Lal was originally a resident of Fatehpur Tihawali village in Sikar district of Rajasthan. In 1998, he was admitted to the Delhi Police as a soldier. He was married to Poonam of Jaipur in the year 2004.

As soon as the information of the incident reached Ratan Lal's house in Amrit Vihar Colony in Burari village of Delhi, his wife fainted. Their children wept bitterly. There was an uproar in Burari village. Ratan Lal's relatives were informed. Ratan Lal's younger brother Manoj, who is living in Bangalore, left for Delhi on Monday evening.
