New York: In the midst of the growing excitement and anticipation surrounding the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) of America organized a spectacular Tesla Musical light show in Maryland. The event, attended by Indian Americans from Washington, Virginia, and Maryland, featured over 150 Tesla cars arranged strategically in the shape of the word 'Ram' as part of the celebration leading up to the temple's opening later this month. Videos showed members of the Hindu community holding flags adorned with images of Lord Ram and chanting slogans like 'Jai Shree Ram' and 'Ram Lakshman Janki, Jai Shri Hanuman Ki.' The Tesla car light show was synchronized to the tunes of 'Jai Shri Ram' and organized by the VHP's US chapter. The mesmerizing light show took place at the Sri Bhakta Anjaneya Temple in Maryland, situated on a street named 'Ayodhya Way.' Tesla's unique feature of synchronized light shows, with each car capable of coordinating with others, added a vibrant and colorful dimension to the celebration. The show, created by a young devotee and programmed using software loaded via a USB flash drive, featured Tesla vehicles of various colors synchronizing their headlights and taillights to create a vivid and dynamic display. The celebration is part of the lead-up to the grand opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. In addition to the light show, giant billboards featuring Lord Ram and the majestic shrine have been erected in over 10 states in the United States. The VHP, in collaboration with Hindus across the US, has placed more than 40 billboards in states such as Texas, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and Georgia, with Arizona and the State of Missouri joining the visual celebration. Amitabh VW Mittal, the General Secretary of the Hindu Parishad of America, emphasized that these billboards convey the joy and enthusiasm of Hindu Americans participating in this once-in-a-lifetime event, expressing their emotions as they eagerly await the auspicious day of the consecration ceremony on January 22. As part of the celebrations, more than 350 cars participated in a rally organized in Edison, New Jersey, where members of the Hindu community displayed flags with images of Lord Ram. Meanwhile, in Mauritius, all Hindu temples are organizing Ramayan chanting and special celebrations on January 22 to commemorate the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. President of the Mauritius Sanatan Dharm Temples Federation, Bhojraj Ghoorbin, highlighted the festive mood in Mauritius, drawing parallels between this event and Diwali celebrations. The grand temple opening in Ayodhya is expected to be attended by various leaders and dignitaries, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to participate in the ceremonial installation of the idol of Shri Ram Lalla inside the temple's sanctum sanctorum. The ceremony, commencing on January 16, will extend over seven days, with the Pran Pratishtha scheduled for noon on January 22. In addition to the religious significance, the event holds cultural and spiritual importance, as highlighted by the Indian envoy to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who spoke about the universal lessons and themes depicted in the Ramayan during an event at the US Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Ambassador Sandhu emphasized the shared heritage of the Ramayan across the Indo-Pacific and its impact on various societies, demonstrating how the epic has been reimagined and retold in diverse cultural traditions.
