Kerala- Kochi: A day after a 21-year-old law student was found hanged at her home near here, police arrested her husband and his parents, who had fled the scene shortly after the suicide news broke. The victim had written a suicide letter in which she demanded the harshest punishment for her husband Suhail and his parents, Yusuf and Rukhia.
In the early hours of Wednesday, a police investigation squad apprehended the three from their relatives' home in Kothamangalam. The woman also demanded that local police official C.L. Sudheer be held accountable for failing to act on her complaint and siding with her "tormentors" in her note. As word spread, top police officers launched an investigation, removing Sudheer from his position and launching an investigation into his actions.
