Husband kills his own pregnant wife, reason is narrow-minded thinking

Patna: In a shocking incident, a pregnant woman was murdered for dowry from Arrah in Bihar. The deceased's parents have accused her in-laws, including her husband, of murdering her. After the incident, all the in-laws, including the husband of the deceased, are absconding from the spot. The incident took place in BArrahuli village under the Mufassil police station area of Arrah district.

Renu Kumari, a 19-year-old wife of Jamira village, was married to Santosh Kumar Yadav, a resident of Barrahuli village, on December 1, 2021. It is alleged that everything was going well for a few months of marriage. After the woman became pregnant, husband Santosh and his family started demanding dowry. There was a demand to bring a Bullet and Rs 2 lakh in cash. Ramesh Kumar, brother of the deceased, alleged that his sister was murdered by slitting her throat. The incident has been committed by her husband and in-laws for dowry.

Renu had told her husband that her parents are poor. They cannot give such a huge amount of dowry. When the demand for dowry amount and Bullet was not completed by the parents, husband Santosh Kumar and his family members killed Renu by slitting her throat. The locals informed the police about the incident. After the information, the woman's family members and the police reached the spot and saw that Renu was lying in a pool of blood in the house. No member of her in-laws was present in the house. The police took the body into custody and sent it to Sadar hospital for post-mortem. In the incident, ASI Sanjay Kumar Singh of Mofussil police station said in connection with the incident that a married woman has been murdered. Her post-mortem is being conducted. The case is being investigated. Action will be taken against the culprits.
