HYDERABAD: On September 17, the Center will host the first-ever celebration of Hyderabad Liberation Day since the Police Action of 1948. The stage is set. Amit Shah, the union home minister, will attend the celebration as the principal guest. The event will go from 8.45 until 11.10 in the morning. Senior BJP leaders, Maharashtra and Karnataka Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Basavaraj Bommai, as well as Union Culture Minister G. Kishan Reddy, are to be attended the event. On September 17, 1948, security forces invaded Hyderabad and routed the Nizam's Army and the Razakar formations, marking the incorporation of the former Hyderabad State with the Indian Union. For the past week, Parade Ground has been the site of preparations for the celebration. For the Liberation Day celebrations, the ministry of culture has booked performers, folk dancers, and traditional Gussadi dancers. BJP Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind and former MP Vijayashanthi visited an exhibition of Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations set up at Parade Ground. Kishan Reddy, who is closely supervising the program's preparations. Hyderabad was anticipating the arrival of Shah on Friday night. BJP state general secretary Gujjula Premender Reddy said, Amit Shah would attend the BJP core committee meeting on Saturday from 11.20 am to 1 pm at Tourism Plaza in Begumpet. The prime minister's birthday celebrations will take place in Classic Gardens in Secunderabad on Saturday from 1.40 to 2.30 p.m., the union home minister announced. Premender Reddy responded to a query by stating that Amit Shah would remain at the National Police Academy and might take part in official events there. For people to participate in the Liberation Day celebrations, TSRTC buses have been scheduled. All around the twin cities, flex boards, badge boards, and flags have been placed. As the military personnel, representatives from the Union Ministry of Culture, and cantonment staff participated in the arrangements, Parade Ground took on a festive appearance.
