'I don't have pen drive and CD': Kamal Nath retracts his statement on honeytrap scandal

Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that he does not have a pen drive and CD related to the honeytrap case. Earlier, on May 21, 2021, during a press conference, he had said that he had a CD and pen drive of the honeytrap case.  

On Tuesday, Kamal Nath attended a Scheduled Caste program held at the state Congress office. After the program, when the media asked him questions related to the CD of the Honeytrap case. Kamal Nath said that he does not have a CD and pen drive. Kamal Nath said that at that time some police officers had brought a laptop to him in which he showed the clip of about 1:30 minutes, but he watched the video for about 30 seconds and then told him that I do not want to see all this you just check is this right or not. I didn't even want to have such a CD. So I told them to check it out thoroughly."

At the same time, when the media asked Kamal Nath that the leader of the opposition Dr. Govind Singh is saying that he has this CD. Kamal Nath said that this CD must have been given to Govind Singh by the BJP people. Earlier, Kamal Nath had said, "I have also seen the CD that Govind Singh has. I said it needed more investigation. My politics is not like that. I didn't want to go after anyone. I did not want Madhya Pradesh to be defamed, so I said that there should be a thorough investigation. All of them were BJP people.'' In the year 2019, the politics of Madhya Pradesh was heated due to the honeytrap case. In this case, the Indore Police had arrested some women who were accused of honey trapping and extorting money from top officials and politicians.
