Barwani: A woman in Madhya Pradesh's Barwani district gave birth to twin girls who are physically connected. Both the girls are perfectly fine. Anita, a resident of Rehgun village near Silawad, was rushed to the primary health center in Menimata after she complained of labor pain. From there, she was admitted to the Women and Maternity District Hospital Barwani.
After the operation late at night, the woman gave birth to inter-connected girls. Both have a connected stomach and chest. At birth, the girls weighed 3.600 grams. Dr. Manoj Khanna said this was the first such case reported from the Barwani district. Since birth, the girls were constantly monitored. The mother of the girls is completely healthy. Civil Surgeon Dr. Manoj Khanna said the operation was conducted at 12.09 am. After the birth of the girls, they were stabilized and admitted to the ICU. The children had some difficulty breathing. She was referred to Indore for better treatment.
Dr. Manoj Khanna said that there are many cases where two children are connected. After the operation, their connected body can be separated.
