Lucknow: A tragic accident occurred due to dense fog in the Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh. A truck overturned in the canal uncontrollably after hitting the shop. More than half a dozen people were hit by the truck in this accident. Six of them died on the spot. While many people were injured.
According to the report, the incident took place in Khagia Khera on the Lalganj-Bachhranwa road under the Gurubakshganj police station area. Around 7 am on Wednesday, a truck coming from Bachhrawan's side overturned uncontrollably after hitting the tea stall on the canal bridge due to fog. More than half a dozen people present at the shop were hit by an uncontrollable truck. Six of them died on the spot, while many were seriously injured. More people are feared trapped under the truck in the canal. A heavy police force, DM, and Superintendent of Police are engaged in relief work on the spot.
According to the report, on Wednesday morning, the villagers came to drink tea at 7 am in the tea stall of Rakkhi Lalai on the canal located in Khagia Kheda. Meanwhile, a Hydra truck coming from Bachhrawan entered the canal, smashing the shop due to fog. More than half a dozen people were injured after being hit by the truck. All these people got into the canal, where strong water was flowing. The bodies of four persons have been identified as Santosh (40), Son of Rangai, Ravindra (38) son of Chhedilal, Lallu (55), and Lalai (75) son of Badri Prasad. The injured have been identified as Funesh Tiwari (65), Daddan Lodhi (30), and Ashok Bajpai (60). It is being said that more people are buried in the canal.
