Kochi: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has said that if the Kerala government does not withdraw its decision, it will move the Supreme Court against it. In view of Bakra Eid in many parts of Kerala, several shops like clothes, footwear, jewellery etc. Following the decision, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has warned the Kerala government of exempting Bakra-Eid amid the threat of the third wave of corona. IMA has said that if the Kerala government does not withdraw its decision to relax the restrictions, they will move the Supreme Court against it. IMA said the Kerala government's decision has "hurt" it as cases of corona infection are still on the rise in the state. IMA further said that even PM Narendra Modi has cautioned against congestion and pilgrimages etc have been cancelled in many states. IMA said in a statement, "When many north states like Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, etc. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan had on Saturday announced some relaxation in covid restrictions."
