SOMNATH: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, April 26, said India has the courage to do something new, even in the most critical circumstances, as India faces hurdles on the way to its target for 2047 and forces that threaten to break it. PM Modi said that as India completed 75 years of independence, it has invoked a sense of pride towards its heritage. PM said the pride in “our heritage will grow as we get to know it by freeing ourselves of our slave mentality”, emphasising that India celebrates its diversity. Virtually addressing the closing ceremony of ‘Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam’, Prime Misnter said there is a lot between Gujarat and Tamil Nadu that has been deliberately kept out of OUR knowledge. "Today, our goal for India is to become a developed nation by 2047. We also face difficulties related to the age of slavery and the seven decades that followed. We must move the nation ahead, but along the way, there will be forces that could shatter us and individuals who could lead us astray. But even in the most challenging situations, India has the bravery to try something new, said PM Modi. He added that India is a nation that prides itself on showcasing its variety. "As a people, we value diversity. We celebrate many arts, expertise, and linguistic diversities. Everything is different, from our beliefs to our spiritual practises, he said.
