New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, India reported 2,09,918 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to statistics released by the Health Ministry on Monday. It showed that 959 deaths had occurred in the previous day. With this, the country's daily positivity rate reached 15.77 percent. In India, there are currently 18,31,268 active cases, with a total of 1,66,03,96,227 vaccine jabs delivered thus far. Over 75 percent of India's adult population is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, who announced the feat on Sunday. On August 7, 2020, India's COVID-19 tally surpassed 20 lakh, followed by 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16. It exceeded the 60 lakh level on September 28, the 70 lakh mark on October 11, the 80 lakh mark on October 29, the 90 lakh mark on November 20, and the one-crore mark on December 19. On May 4, India passed the two-crore mark, and on June 23, it passed the three-crore mark. Meanwhile, Kerala's state health department said on Sunday that it had received 51,570 new Covid cases from 1,03,366 samples analysed, and also 14 more deaths. In total, 5,27,362 persons are being monitored in various parts of the state, with 5,14,734 being placed under home quarantine and 12,628 being admitted to hospitals.
