New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, India has recorded 11,919 new cases of the coronavirus, with 470 deaths as a result of the infection. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday, the country witnessed 11,242 discharges in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to roughly 98.28 per cent, the highest since March 2020, and total recoveries data to 3,38,85,132. According to government data released today, the total number of active COVID-19 cases in India has risen to 1,28,762. Up till November 17, 62,82,48,841 samples had been tested for COVID-19, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). On Wednesday, 12,32,505 of these samples were examined. The country's total death toll today stands at 4,64,623. The first death from the COVID epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020.
