NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday, April 16, that the Indian government was dedicated to the welfare of the unorganised sector. Prime Minister Modi went on to say that unorganised labor's contribution to the country's development was very important. The Prime Minister remarked in a tweet, "The contribution of our unorganised labour brothers and sisters to the country's development is significant. Our government is always working to improve the lives of millions of such workers. While these programmes protected people's social security, many more measures were made to assist during the pandemic." The Prime Minister also discussed crucial government welfare programmes for unorganised sector workers.
