India to make Airforce Airbase in Deesa near LOC, PM Modi laid the foundation stone

Ahmedabad: PM Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Defense Expo 2022 in Gandhinagar today i.e. on Wednesday (October 19). During this, he also laid the foundation stone of a new airbase at Deesa near the India-Pakistan border. During this, PM Modi said that this new airbase will emerge as an effective center for the security of the country. PM Modi also said that Gujarat will become the center of defense in India and will play an important role in the security of the country.

PM Modi said 'I was seeing on the screen that the people of Deesa were very excited about the construction of the new airfield. This airspace will play a major role. Deesa is just 130 km away from the international border. If our army, especially our air force takes the lead in Deesa, we will be able to give a befitting reply to any threat coming from the western side.' However, during this time PM Modi did not take the name of Pakistan. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, PM Modi did not say that this is the first such 'Defense Expo' in which only Indian companies are participating. 

PM Modi said that 'Maritime security is becoming the priority of the whole world today for international security as well as free trade.' PM Modi said that the export of Indian defence products has increased 8 times in the last eight years. Defence forces will issue a list of 101 items, whose imports will be banned, along with 411 defence equipment and supplies that will be manufactured in India itself.
