Under this scheme, the Central Government has announced a Production Link Incentive (PLI) of 17000 crores. Experts believe that with this scheme, India will get great success in the IT hardware segment. Actually, it is the effort of the government that smartphones, laptops and other equipment related to it should be made in India only. Till now all these goods are imported from China. Now the government is working on providing all kinds of facilities to those businessmen under PLI. So that businessmen can manufacture them in India only. Let us tell you that till now only assembling work was being done in India. Under the PLI scheme 2.0, the government will help those companies to set up the entire business. If a company manufactures them in India, then PLI will be provided to those businessmen. Under this scheme, from the business setup to the construction process of those companies, funds will be made available under PLI. Actually, India has become the second largest smartphone manufacturer in the whole world. Now if parts of smartphones and laptops will also start being made in India, then China's dominance in this sector will end and tremendous employment opportunities will open up in India. The central government is encouraging production links to the sectors so that India can become self-sufficient in those areas. In which we still have to depend on some other country. Under this, the government has also made several announcements for sectors like medical equipments, steel, auto. The effect of these announcements of the government has also started showing. Now 17000 crores approved for IT hardware sector will be used in several phases. This amount can be spent in 6 years. It is worth mentioning that, companies and businessmen will not only get the benefit of PLI scheme, but thousands of new employment opportunities will also be created in the country. At the same time, the prices of mobiles, laptops and other gadgets will also decrease in India. Earlier, the government has increased the amount received in the IT hardware segment. Earlier this amount was 7,350 crores. Now it has been increased to Rs 17000 crore. Experts estimate that with this decision of the government, about 75,000 direct jobs will be created in the country.
