NEW DELHI: The Indian Army has set up a Quantum and Artificial Intelligence Lab at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering in Madhya Pradesh's Mhow with the support of the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) to spearhead research and training in this crucial growing subject. Quantum Key Distribution, Quantum Communication, Quantum Computing, and Post Quantum Cryptography are key thrust areas, according to the force. General M.M. Naravane, the Indian Army's chief of staff, paid a visit to the facility to assess the situation and observe the labs' technological research. With over 140 deployments in forward areas and active assistance from business and academics, the Indian Army has created an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre at the same university. A state-of-the-art cyber range and cyber security labs are used to provide cyber warfare training. The Army's participation in Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations was conceived at a conference on Electromagnetic Spectrum and National Security held last October.
