Srinagar: Zoom, the brave army dog who fought terrorists in Anantnag in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, has finally lost the battle of life. Today, till 11.45 pm on Thursday, he was responding well and his health seemed to be improving. But suddenly Zoom's health kept deteriorating. He started having trouble breathing and fell to the ground. Zoom breathed its last at 12 noon. He was shot two bullets by the terrorists and his leg was also broken. Everyone was praying for the recovery of Zoom, but the prayers did not work. Two army personnel were also injured in an encounter with Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. The army had killed two terrorists in the encounter. The army had told that Zoom was entrusted with the task of getting the terrorists out of the house. For this, showing bravery, he entered the house and identified the terrorists and attacked them. Meanwhile, the terrorists opened fire on him. But still, Zoom did not spare the terrorist. During the encounter, Zoom got hit by two bullets and both the terrorists were killed. Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Tangpawa area of south Kashmir late Sunday night following information about the presence of militants there. On Monday morning, the army sent its attacking dog named Zoom inside the house where the terrorists were hiding. Zoom has been part of several active operations in the past, the army said.
