Indian arrested for raping American woman in Afghanistan

To curb the increasing crime, the US government has implemented new rules to prosecute a 35-year-old Indian citizen working for a US military contractor in Afghanistan for raping an American woman. As reported by Assistant Advocate General Brian Benzkowski in the Criminal Division of the US Department of Justice, a charge sheet has been filed on November 6 in the District of Columbia court on three counts related to sexual violence.

According to the information, Naik was arrested by the US military authorities in Afghanistan on November 8 and was presented to the Magistrate Judge Harvey through video teleconference for the first time. The judge issued an order to detain Naik for prosecution under the 'Military Extra Territorial Jurisdiction Act (MEJA)'.

Let us tell you that according to the prosecution, Naik allegedly entered the room of a 24-year-old American woman and sexually assaulted her while working as an army contractor employee on 'Operating Base Fenty' in Afghanistan. . On which the American woman started making noise and gave the accused in police custody.
