US Border agent caught five Indian citizens attempting illegal entry

Five Indians trying to enter the US illegally have been detained by US patrol officials. On November 15, 5 Indians and a suspected smuggler were apprehended by American Border Patrol agents stationed at the Ogdensburg Border Patrol Station in New York. The smugglers were trying to escape from the temporary immigration post.

According to media reports, a vehicle passed near the immigration post. An American citizen was driving the vehicle. Agents identified the vehicle arrived in the parking area of a local market in Ogdensburg. He said that the driver left the vehicle and entered the market. After which the Border Patrol agents caught the driver and five Indians. These Indians did not have immigration documents to live legally in America.

All these were taken into custody and sent to Ogdensburg Border Petrol Station for further action. The criminal case has been sent to the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York. In the year 2018, the Border Patrol of the United States arrested people from 113 countries along the southwest border. More than 9,000 people were detained from India.
