Railways gave Diwali gift to Mumbaikars, 753 new local trains will run from today

Mumbai: The news of great relief is coming for the passengers traveling in the local trains called Mumbai's lifeline. Indian Railways has announced to increase the number of local trains to provide safe travel facilities to the people of Mumbai during the festive season amid the crisis of Corona epidemic. According to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Railways is going to start 753 daily special suburban services in Mumbai from 02 November. With this, the number of local trains operated in Mumbai will reach 2773.

Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has tweeted that for the convenience of passengers, the railway is going to run 753 more local trains from November 2. With the increase in the number of trains, passengers will get the facility of safe and convenient travel. Due to increasing facility of local trains, physical distance can be taken care of during the journey. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said that with increasing number of local trains, it will also be easier to control more crowds during the festive season. With this, it will also be convenient for the passengers. Let us know that recently the Maharashtra government had requested the railways to start the Mumbai local for the movement of ordinary citizens.

Earlier, the Railway Ministry had allowed women of Mumbai to travel in local trains from October 21. However, women were ordered to follow the timing regulations issued by the Railways for traveling in Mumbai Local.
