Police busted a gang of bikes thieves, bikes worth Rs 12 L recovered

Police on Sunday, claimed to have arrested a gang of bikes thieves and recovered 12 bikes stolen from Ujjain, Rajgarh, Tarana, Kayatha and Dewas. Police claimed that 4 members of the gang have been arrested. The gang used to sell the stolen bikes at very cheap rates, said police. During an intense checking drive, Police waylaid two riders whose bikes were without number plates. During interrogation Prakash (30) resident of village BordaDhakad and Vinod alias Bhuriya (28) resident of Chidawad Tonkkala told that the duo had stolen the bikes 15 days ago from Tarana.

The duos have been booked under Section 379. They said to police that they stole 12 bikes from Freeganj area, Kayatha, Tarana and Rajgarh also. Hukam Mukati and Jagdish Malviya to whom the miscreants sold bikes at very cheap rates have also been arrested. Six stolen bikes have been recovered from the possession of Prakash while 3 bikes were recovered from Vinod. The police told that 12 bikes worth Rs 6 Lakh were recovered from the miscreants. The police also told that accused Prakash Verma has also been imprisoned in a murder case.
