There is great news for travellers on the occasion of Dassehra, Diwali and Chhath in the Corona period. To take people to their homes, the railway has started service of its special trains from today. According to the information received, Indian Railways is running 392 festival special trains from October 20 to 30 from today. The Railways had said in a statement recently that 392 festival special trains will be operated in the festive season, which will be other trains than the trains currently running'. The Railways have also issued a guideline for train travel. According to that guideline, not wearing masks, not following social distancing, can be very expensive for travellers. As per the guidelines issued by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), fines and jail can be incurred for travelling on a train, not wearing a mask or not following social distancing, even if you are Covid positive. It has been decided to run special trains for places like Kolkata, Patna, Varanasi and Lucknow to meet the increasing demand during the holiday period of Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali and Chhath Puja. On the other hand, Railways have said in a statement that the fare of special trains will be applicable on these trains, i.e. their fare will be 10-30% higher than that of Mail / Express trains, which will depend on the class of travel. These special trains will run for 40 days only.
