New Delhi: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh started its special campaign in Navratri under 'Mission Shakti' and sentenced 14 rapists to death in two days. While 20 have been sentenced to life imprisonment. 'Mission Shakti' is a campaign to reduce rising female crime in UP, which the Yogi government has started after the Hathras case.

Under the campaign Mission Shakti started in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has sentenced 14 culprits to death and 20 accused to life imprisonment within two days. Following the direction of CM Yogi, the Directorate of Prosecution has started the work of punishing the accused with haste. However, CM Yogi has said that it should be completed soon in a short time.

The purpose of this mission is to ensure the safety of women in the state. As part of the mission, the team will identify and raid the manacles in the state. Along with this, the Yogi government will put up posters of disturbing the peace in the state at the intersections. In this regard, CM Yogi said that there will be a separate room for women complainants in the 1535 police station of the state which will be made a women's helpdesk. Women police constables will be posted. Complaints will be processed immediately here.
