Indian developers and startups are preparing an alliance to consider launching their app store – going against the tech giant Google. It would be a revolt in sort as Google had put Indian start-ups at a tough spot. So, according to reports, IT companies of India like Paytm's Vijay Shekhar Sharma, MakeMyTrip’s Deep Kalra, and many other startup founders are forming an alliance to consider an Indian app store. This began when Paytm was removed for a few hours from the Play Store. Google had said that Paytm violated rules regarding fantasy gaming promotions. Google stated that “offering cashback and vouchers alone do not constitute a violation of our Google Play gambling policies”. CEOs of Google, Facebook and Twitter to testify before US presidential elections take place Google also warned and said if further violations are seen They will take strict action against the company. After this statement of Google Paytm C.E.O Vijay Shekhar Sharma had then said that in answer to Google that Google was acting like the “ judge, jury and executioner”. Recently, even food tech unicorns Swiggy and Zomato fell on the wrong side of Google’s policies. Both the startups received notices for their cashback and offer related to the IPL for promoting in-app gamification. Paytm and other Indian tech companies demand this from Google This alliance also came into effect when Google rolled out new payment policies where developers would have to pay a 30% tax on all in-app purchases and even included entertainment, education, dating, and fitness apps in the list. After the new policy Indian developer community showed their unacceptance on Twitter by tweeting It's high time for India to build its own app store.
