In a tragic incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, five labourers lost their lives after the roof slab of a resort's under-construction cottage collapsed. The incident took place on Thursday night in Choral village, located in Mhow tehsil, approximately 40 km from the district's main city. The labourers were resting beneath the roof slab when the structure suddenly gave way. Upon receiving the information early in the morning around 6:30 am, the local authorities were immediately alerted, and a rescue operation was promptly initiated. The rural police officials reached the site swiftly to begin the operation. Indore's Rural Superintendent of Police confirmed that the bodies of the five deceased workers have been sent for post-mortem examination. She also mentioned that a thorough investigation into the cause of the collapse has been launched. The grim discovery was made by fellow workers who arrived at the construction site in the morning. Initially, it was believed that only one worker had died and several others were trapped under the debris.
