Indore-Amritsar train to resume on Feb 23, Some trains to be diverted via alternative routes

The bi-weekly special train between Indore-Amritsar will be operational again on 23 February, according to a railway official.  Accordingly, Train number 09325 Indore Amritsar Special Express, will depart from the city at 19.45 hrs on Tuesdays and Fridays and will reach Amritsar at 21.00 the next day.

Conversely, train number 09326, Amritsar-Indore Special Express will restart on February 25, and it will start from Amritsar on Thursdays and Sundays at 01.50 hours and will reach the city at 00.55 hours the next day.

The train will have halts at Dewas, Maxi, Shajapur, Beawara Rajgarh, Ruthiai, Guna, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Agra Cantt, Mathura, Faridabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Deoband, Sararanpur, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Jamadhri from both directions. The train will have one second AC, five third AC, nine sleepers and four general class coaches.

Even as the rail traffic is yet to attain normalcy and most long-route trains are witnessing heavy rush of passengers due to the forthcoming festival of Holi, there is more trouble in store for the travelling public as Delhi division of the Northern Railway would take traffic blocks from February 23 to March 2 for the construction of the 4th line on Hazrat Nizamuddin-Palwal section. As a result, several trains would remain canceled, rescheduled, diverted and regulated during this period.

Trains to be diverted via alternative routes: It is to be noted, Train 12716 Amritsar-Nanded Sachkhand Express (Feb 26 to 29), 11058 Amritsar-CST Mumbai Dadar Express (Feb 27, 28), 12715 Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express (Feb 25, 27, 28, 29), 11057 CST Mumbai-Amritsar Dadar Express (Feb 24, 25), 12904 Amritsar-Mumbai Central Golden Temple Mail (Feb 28, 29), are to be expected to divert through alternative routes, the railway said in a statement.
